The most popular salad in Thailand and Laos is the green papaya salad. At first bite, you should check your language extremes of heat, salt and bitter taste at a time. The taste is refreshing!

Thai Papaya Salad Serves:
• 1-4 peppers
• 1 clove of garlic
• 3 cups shredded green papaya Tomatoes
• 1 / 2 cup chopped
• 1 c. tablespoons fish sauce
• 1 tablespoon shrimp paste
• 3 tablespoons of lime
• 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
• 2 tablespoons dried shrimp (optional)

In a mortar and pestle, crush the garlic and pepper until they are separated. Add the papaya and the remaining ingredients in a mortar. With the pestle to crush and mix a tablespoon, all ingredients in a mortar. When sugar and shrimp paste are dissolved the papaya salad is ready to be served.
